Dr. Heidi Thorne, MBA/DBA, has published a book titled, Networking for Authors: How to Build Your Fan Base and Book Sales through Networking. The book is available in Kindle eBook on Amazon, and as an audio book on Audible and Apple Books.
Thorne says that her own frustrations with networking as an author prompted her to write the book. “As I transitioned my business from sales and advertising into a publishing company, I realized how my networking–and my network!–had changed dramatically. The people I had known for years were no longer relevant to me in a business sense, and I was no longer relevant to them either. Plus, authors are networking to create fans, not just customers. Networking as an author for book marketing is a completely different game than standard business networking. So I wanted to share my experience to help other authors.”
